Which post-punk band are you?

I literally couldn't resist.

You scored as The Fall. Manchester's The Fall are one of the most prolific and enduring of the original post-punk bands. Mark E. Smith's surrealist rants and idiosyncratic brand of 'Country & Northern' continue to command a large cult following, their debut, 1979's 'Live at the Witch trials' is as good a place to start as any.

It's good to see that it's nicely multidimensional: I also had The Pop Group at the bottom, but in contrast Cabaret Voltaire was right at the top for me. I got 93% for them, 70% for PiL, and 50% or under for everything else. I guess I'm not very post-punky at all (funny that).

This is me:

You scored as Cabaret Voltaire. Sheffield-based band Cabaret Voltaire were formed slightly before punk but are often said to be godfathers of electronica and industrial music. Their music is a innovative combination of synthesisers, tape samples and electronic beats, best heard on 'The Original Sound of Sheffield 1978-82'.

I'm not unhappy about it.

Jeez, I got Throbbing Gristle at 90%! I must be 'out of it'. Thank god I didn't get The Slits, I fucking hate that band, and bizarrely, I only got 50% for WIRE, my favourite of the lot...
